Olusanya, ex-envoy heads courier coy
A former Nigerian ambassador to France, Prof. Gabriel Olusanya, who weekend assumed the chair of Cflexglobal, a courier company in Lagos, has tasked the management of the company to end the dominance of multinationals in Nigeria's courier business.
Olusanya gave the charge shortly after he and mine other business moguls were inaugurated as chairman and board directors, respectively.
"I have no doubt that with this kind of board, the dream of growing this company into a formidable one, able to compete effectively and successfully with the multinationals, which now dominate the courier business in this country, is about to be translated into reality," the ex-envoy enthused.
He, however charged the company to "avoid like plague, any thing that can bring taint or blemish on (its) reputation."
Earlier in his address, Managing Director of the company, Mr Tayo Ogundare, said Cflexglobal decided to expand its board to include prominent Nigerians in view of fresh challenges in courier and logistic business.
"We are aware of the need to involve prominent Nigerians imbued with ground breaking ideas, as a way of being in the league of frontline courier companies, globally," Ogundare explained.
